About Proud Horizons

Proud Horizons is a youth group specifically for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and straight ally youth ages 13 to 23.Proud Horizons-Revised2

If you want to talk about coming out to family, school-mates, or even coworkers, or you are trying to decide how you feel about your sexuality, this is the place for you. Perhaps you are straight, but have a gay friend you want to support. This is also the place for you. Anyone within our age range and genuinely interested in attending is welcome to show up.

Proud Horizons meetings are held every Saturday from 4-6 p.m. at First United Methodist Church’s Mead Hall, 7020 Cass Street (near 72nd and Dodge) thru the end of September 2019.  Beginning on October 5, 2019, we will meet at UNO in the Milo Bail Student Center Queer and Trans Services (QTS) Office.  Check our Facebook page for details on the new location and parking.

  • We will not meet the third Saturday in May due to the Tom Mahony Pride Prom.
  • We also do not meet on the Saturday of the Heartland Pride parade and festival.
